
BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe (Beginner Friendly)

✅ Ingredients (Makes 2 medium pizzas)
🔸 For the Dough:
(same base dough as before)
• 2½ cups all-purpose flour (about 300g)
• 1 tsp instant dry yeast
• 1 tsp sugar
• ¾ cup warm water (180ml)
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• ¾ tsp salt
🔸 For the Sauce:
• ½ cup BBQ sauce (choose your favorite brand or homemade)
🔸 For the Topping:
• 1 cup cooked chicken breast (shredded or cubed)
• ½ red onion, thinly sliced
• ½ cup shredded mozzarella
• ¼ cup shredded cheddar
• A few fresh coriander or parsley leaves (optional)
⏱️ Step-by-Step Instructions
🔹 1. Prepare the Dough:
1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast.
➜ Let it sit for 10 minutes until it forms bubbles.
2. Add the olive oil and gradually mix in the flour. Form a dough.
3. Add salt and knead for 8–10 minutes by hand, or 5 minutes with a mixer.
4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place until doubled.
🔹 2. Cook the Chicken (if not pre-cooked):
• In a pan, heat a drizzle of oil and cook cubed chicken with a pinch of salt, pepper, and paprika.
• Cook until lightly golden.
➜ Let it cool slightly, then mix with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
🔹 3. Roll the Dough:
1. After rising, divide the dough into two parts.
2. Roll each on a floured surface to about ½ cm thickness.
3. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking tray.
🔹 4. Assemble the Pizza:
1. Spread 2–3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce on the base.
2. Add shredded BBQ chicken evenly.
3. Top with red onion slices.
4. Add mozzarella and cheddar over the top.
5. (Optional) Garnish with a few fresh coriander leaves.
🔹 5. Bake the Pizza:
• Preheat your oven to 450°F (230–250°C) for at least 15 minutes.
• Bake the pizza for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.
✅ Tips for Best Flavor:
• Use smoked BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
• You can add a drizzle of extra BBQ sauce after baking for a stronger kick.
• Want it spicy? Add sliced jalapeños on top before baking.
